|
Note: I used Corel Paint Shop Pro X for the following tutorial. Some options may not be available in other programs. Go from this to this ![]() 1. Start with your image, 100x100 pixels is standard for icons. 2. Since my image is dark, I am going to adjust it by choosing Adjust > One Step Photo Fix, which adjusts brightness & contrast. 3. Duplicate your layer twice. Set the first one to screen 50%, and the second to soft light 100%. 4. Copy, then paste this gradient on top of all your layers, and set to Lighten, adjust opacity to your liking. ![]() 5. Duplicate your bottom layer again, drag to the top and set to soft light 100%. 6. Merge all your layers, then sharpen once. 7. You could stop there, or if you'd like a deeper color, choose Layers > New Adjustment Layer > Color Balance. 8. Out of Shadows, Midtones, and Highlights, choose Midtones. In the 3 boxes, type in -63, -27, -39. Click OK. 9. Merge all layers. Add textures, text, or just leave it how it is. |
