Scanlines, or blinds, is a neat effect and a cool addition to any image. Its easy to do, so follow this easy tutorial so you know how! 1. First, open up your image. I used a picture of Miley Cyrus below.
2. Duplicate your image by going Layers > Duplicate (this is an optional step, I chose to do this.) 3. Go to the navigation bar at the top and choose Effects > Texture Effects > Blinds 4. A window will pop up where you can choose you settings. I set mine to: Width: 2 Opacity: 40 Color: #c0c0c0 You can also choose your lines to be vertical or horizontal. Mine are horizontal. 5. If you didn't duplicate your image, you're done! If you did, find the eraser tool on the toolbar, and erase the parts you don't want. I erased the parts on her face. Then I added some coloring. Here is my final result:
